I have sad news that an F1b standard Goldendoodle from Scarlett & Duke's Patriotic litter needs to find a new home as soon as possible. Berly was "Patriot" from that litter. We are assisting in the rehoming in hopes of finding

someone who has the time to work with him through is issues. His current owner is overwhelmed with what he needs and no rescues will take him with his history.
Berly is now 15-months old and has severe resource guarding. He also is leash reactive and has attacked and bitten several dogs. He has as trouble with impulse control, high energy and would need to be in a home with a yard where he can exercise. It is preferred that he is the only do in the home, though he currently lives with two chihuahuas.
His owner stays he is intelligent and learns quickly. Thrives when given structure. He has had an evaluation by a dog trainer. She described him as "a funny boy". This dog behaviorist created a training plan and she has some goals for him:
Reduce/eliminate reactivity to dogs when on leash
Be able to pass by dogs without a significant reaction
Long-term/reach goal: be able to visit berries/restaurants, etc
Build impulse control around peopleReduce jumping on members of the household and visitors
Berly able to be (calmly!) loose in the house when the family and or guests are enjoying meals together
Improve the relationship and dynamics with all the kids
Improve ability to self-calm/make more desirable choices when stressed/anxious

Berly is in desperate need of an experienced dog owner, preferably with rescue experience.
He is still young with so much potential with the right training and leadership.
He has not started any formal training and is still intact so he will need to be neutered by his new family. His rehoming fee is $0 to allow his new owner to cover his neuter and training.
